Dhish For Android

This week my friend posted his first game to the Android Market. It's called Dhish. It is a port of his OpenProcessing version found here. It's basically a little personal evolution chamber, each "dhish" playing out its own world. Some will die out, some will prosper and create better inhabitants. In the Android version, you take control of a single specimen and try to eat and dodge predators until you die. It counts your descendants as your score. Try it out for only $0.99 and tell em i0dine sent ya!

Red cells are carnivores, yellow are herbivores, and green are plants!

From https://market.android.com/details?id=processing.android.test.dhish -

An evolution simulator! Survive, eat, reproduce, repeat. Evolve or die.
It’s a jungle in there--join the ruthless carnivores, ominous omnivores, and planty plants on the deceptively smooth agar surface of...the Petri Dhish. Watch evolution in action, as Descent with Modification meets the selective pressures of a changing environment. Then dive into the fray by touching any cell on the Dhish, and match wits against evolving enemies.

Wallpapers!

Sorry it has been so long since I posted. I've had some real life issues to sort out. Things that I will not be explaining due to laziness. So today I will be posting wallpapers to fill the void. So please enjoy them and use them and share them. After all, is that not the point of the internet? - to share and distribute and enjoy everything under a common agreement of freedom and happiness?
Anyway, to stay on topic, and out of the philosophical explosion of internet-thinking, here are fourteen fancy wallpapers:
(I hope you like dark-themed backgrounds!)
(Also, if you would like more, please let me know in the comments, I have hundreds of wallpapers and am always interested in ideas for new ones!)

New "West Coast Drive" CAD Render

UPDATE: I have made the necessary modifications to the model to make it faster, sleeker, and more... adequate. The fire decals and racing stripes improve performance, while the quad subs and gold wheel make for a more luxurious ride. Although the bot is completely run via remote control, the wheel was agreed upon being the best fit for the front of the chassis. See the revised model below, with the original after the break -
There is an even newer model with spinners, underside-neon-glow, and bumper stickers in the works!

An Interesting Sketch

Behold:
Spider-Man riding an elephant, holding limes, and wearing a top hat.
I assumed many of my readers were in need of this picture. Quite a few applications for it.

Anyway, in other news, I am glad I own an Xbox. Playstation Network is still down, and now Sony Online Entertainment has been compromised too. Personally, I think it is in response to the charges against the gamer who managed to give himself developer account privileges. My stance on all video game terms of usage breakage: BANS NOT LAWSUITS! It is the developer's job to upkeep security, and the game of exploiting should not become so serious.

Tornado at St. Louis Airport

The FRC World Championship, as I mentioned in an earlier post, is in St. Louis next weekend. Something has suddenly come up.
There were nine reported tornadoes in the St. Louis area on Friday! One of which went straight through the airport!
I believe the airport should be functioning back at around 80% by the end of this week, but it is scary stuff. I may be moving to the midwest this year, and vans on roofs are not a very welcoming sight :S
I'm just glad the robot shipping crates are alright :D

Portal 2!

Portal 2 is finally here!

My review: Excellent. Best game of 2011. Great job Valve! I loved everything about it, but really can't say much without spoiling it.

For those following the ARG, I only got 24 potatoes, but those with 36 have received the Valve complete package for free! Grats to everyone who got that.

Finished the single player campaign (is it a campaign in portal?) last night, waiting for friends to get online to play through co-op and can't wait.

FRC Championship

This post is about FIRST Robotics Competition Team 2984. I just made this document to send to companies in search of donations. This is just my first draft (comments on how to improve are appreciated), but I think it serves its purpose. Perhaps someone online would be willing to help us out? :D
